I'm not quite sure what you mean by that, but if you mean that $2,000 dollars American is expensive for a high end PC you'd be dead wrong. If you want a true high end gaming PC that won't be hopelessly out f date in a year, you'll need to drop $2,500 - $4,000 depending on the power and maker. See www.alienware.com for examples.

Look at the example I gave. Morrowind looks and plays wonderfully on PC, but the problem is most PC owners can't play the damn thing because their PC isn't powered by a V8 Processor/Video Card combo. Also look at the sales of FFVII and GTA 3 sales on console compared to PC. The PC version is better in both cases, but the console versions both outsold their PC brothers by leaps and bounds.

Also when comparing the age demographics of PC and console gamers, you'll see that there is a great disparity.

Its for these reasons that I think parallel PC and console releases don't really hurt console sales.
