VF excels over Tekken any day. I've said this since VF2 days! So many more options/tactics. Balanced characters. Unfortunately it wasn't as popular @ the arcades. But there was this one guy who I used to challenge and we'd have the best challenges all day.
VF4 is my favourite 3d fighter, just following SC and then Tekken4.
Haven't played SC2 much......
Kof and CVS reign 2d fighters (actually all fighters IMO).
