well 4,000,000 pre-orders sounds like a bit much to me (unless maybe it's world-wide), but it might be a little of both of what you mentioned, but also with a little of the fact that GTA3 has sold like at least 6,000,000 copies so far worldwide and hasn't been released in Japan

Yep... So therefore there would be a lot of people wanting to buy it... and even if the major advertising for it hasn't started, y'know there's gotta be word of mouf... and then I bet anytime someone goes into a game store looking for a PS2 game, they shove GTA:VC in your face...
I havn't been in a game store for awhile though... no money... it's depressing looking at all the goods and not being able to get them... SO CLOSE YET SO FAR! WHY MUST THE WORLD TORMENT ME SO!?!?
