Sonic Team will open up its network trial beta for Phantasy Star Online on the GameCube in Japan.

Sonic Team plans to open up its network trial beta of its network online RPG Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II for the GameCube. Those who have already preordered the game from the Internet shopping Web site Dreamcast Direct will have the privilege of joining the beta test starting May 31 in Japan.
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II for the GameCube is scheduled for a summer release in Japan and a fall release in North America.
