But yeah, what they offer looks good... but I won't miss this in the coming 10 years. To me it looks like they're trying to pioneer this interactive TV thing... and I'm not sure it will pay off for them.
By the way, I didn't finish the conference so... does this thing still play games? Or is it just about TV now?

I think they're trying to play off the "all in one" thing. But yeah, not crazy about the name either.
It's been so long I think we've all forgotten that console launches usually kind of suck. XD
This is an especially interesting scenario though. The current generation probably has more market saturation than any before it. In addition, people's disposable income is more spread out among technology than it's ever been. During the last console cycle people weren't budgeting a few $100 a year towards a smart phone.
So basically console makers are asking game publishers to take a huge risk here: go from a heavily saturated market to a brand new one where people have less money to go around.
I don't think the sluggish start of the Wii U is going to be unique.
