Angrist, Israel hasn't gone nearly far enough. They've been way too nice to the Palestinians.
WHy is it that when the U.S. gets attcked, they have the right to obliterrate their enemy, even though this enemy isn't threatedning their existence, whereas when Israel is attacked (and its very existence is being threatened), it's automatically gone too far?
BTW, I think you're referring to what happened in Jenin, and it was completely blown out of proportion, as the world's media is so anti-Israel.
I've seen pictures, and the area that was destroyed was probably about 3% of the entire city.
And most of the area destroyed was from the Palestinians anyways-not the Israelis.
The Palestinians set traps up (bombs all over the city) so that way, when the Israeli soldiers walk into certain houses, the entire house would collapse on them, or some srot of weapons would injure them. This is what caused most of teh destruction in that city.
That's how those 23 Israelis were murdered.
BTW, I've seen interviews with some Palestinians who took par tin this, and they didn't consider it a massacre at all. They only said this to the media.
To them, the whole thing was a game, in which they were 'hunting' Israelis and trying to kill them.
