Look at the Packers last year...proof that injuries shouldn't cripple a team. The Packers have so much depth with their receiver core. Even the controversial Rodgers/Favre draft was a brilliant organizational move. People thought it was crazy to draft Rodgers with Favre. Look who has a Super Bowl now.

The Patriots constantly cycle in new guys. Or they bring guys to their team who have not had success elsewhere and turn them into superstars.

If teams don't have that type of scouting and eye for fitting players into a system, then the usually scrub the system and build an empire from bottom up. There are definitely teams that have "one shot" at success. They start with a group of players and make small changes.

And then you have the Bears who are cobbled together. It's like trying to build a robot out of junkyard parts, and the builder is a drunk guy who doesn't really know what he is doing. I'm not saying the Bear's method cannot produce Super Bowls every once in a blue moon...but when was the last time the Bears had a good quarterback...or had numerous back-to-back winning seasons. It's been a long time.
