I've watched a few death note episodes. Definitely want to see genius part 1&2.
Any specific recommendations:

Champloo
Black Lagoon
Baccano!
..I've seen more movies than series. I like series that limit the amount of 'filler'.
The x-men action teaser looked quite mediocre.
