I will say I do believe SOME (not all or even most, but SOME) teachers are way over paid. Public Teacher salaries are public knowledge available online (at least in IL). From looking at salaries over the years, I know I had a few horrible teachers that were making 80 and 90 thousand dollars a year. Most of the teachers making that much did have their Masters Degrees and had been teaching for a long time, but that definatley did not make them good teachers.
