I can't help but think that I may have been a bit harsh on Steve Jobs after reading your guys' posts. Its true that flash can be extremely annoying when used in 15,000 ads on a single page. That being said, there is a huge mountain of media available online only in flash format. Sure youtube is mostly available in h.264 format, but lets be honest now, beyond the occasional trailer, good video blog or viral video, youtube has become a giant lumbering cesspool of people practicing their artistic licenses, often enjoyable solely by Helen Kellar.

Maybe it is hard to maintain the moral highground when I state that all I want flash for is to enjoy movies and tv shows for free without paying for it at more convenience than I currently enjoy. i know I'm a PC fanboy and still firmly believe in decentralizing control of what media i can use, than again, I could see my credibility being eroded by my willingness to invite Windows 7 ultimate as the best man at my wedding one day.
