ISPs pretty much have the ability to control their network traffic however the hell they feel like, so Comcast can keep throttling or blocking whatever they want.

The big argument though is that if they're spending millions of dollars on getting their networks upgraded then they should be able to manage all traffic properly so that everyone gets equal amounts of bandwith regardless of how you use your internet.

The whole problem started with Comcast throttling torrents and people were filing lawsuits against them because torrents while more useful for piracy actually is necessary for certain software or used for other means that are still legal. Comcast just doesn't care.
