I did an assignment like this, a book report in like 5th grade. It wasn't nearly as fancy though. The assignment was basically to create a new cover and write a synopsis on the back, much like yours seems to be. But instead of actually getting a print shop to do it, I just made the thing out of regular paper and cut it and folded it to fit the book, and made some drawing myself. This was before computers, the internet, and photo printers were as common as they are now. Yours looks like a real book.

I didnt go to a print shop to get it done, I made it myself using this:
I'm taking a print media course. The main goal was the technical aspect of the books construction, and making sure the cover was designed so that the text actually aligned with the spine.
