Remember that the year isn't over yet.
MW2 is a hardcore game, I suppose hardcore gamers tend to buy their games fast. NSMBW is also a casual game, casual gamers are not in a hurry. Many might wait for Christmas.
Not that I care much about the coming months. I'm pretty sure NSMBW will end up with more sales than MW2 in a few years.
