The law doesn't care if a kid breaks your window or if you take the situation out of context. I just researched it and the only exception in Canadian law is if one of the abductors is a parent.

In the end no one has the right to grab anyone else and force them into their home or anywhere else for that matter. Common sense dictates that the parents of the child do not press charges, but that does not mean they don't have the right to press charges.
Once again, if the parents were dicks, someone would be in jail right now pending trial.
