Re: TavernTales 16: The Hunt
I hope to get this story wrapped up at work today.
Anyhow, I made a giant omission in this story just because of time constraint I changed one part and didn't think it made sense in the second part so I figured it would come back later. If that makes any sense to anyone.

The Coalition reached the mouth of the bay an hour later.
"You know we could have been on our way a lot sooner if someone did not have to stop and pig out!" Dylflon teased his friend.
"As you very well know, if I did not eat I would pass out somewhere in the middle of the water, and I don't know about you but I would LOVE to live long enough to see those two bastards dead. And without me, what are you going to do? Feel your way across the water?"
Dyne was a little uneasy with the situation while he knew both of them were joking, it would make his announcement later a bit more akward.
"Do you trust him?" Dyne asked casually.
"Trust who? The source? There really is only one way to find out, and I mean what does he have to gain by lying to us?"
"What about you?" Typhoid turned to Dylflon, "Could you sense what he was thinking?"
Dylflon shook his head, "I got the weirdest vibe from the source, he seemed rather creepy, but his emotions and feelings are blank or empty. I'm not sure which."
The scene was now filled with silence while the three men examined the obstacle facing them. It was Dylflon who finally stated the obvious dilemma.
"Okay Mr. Speedster over here," pointing towards Typhoid, "could possibly just run across the water no problem, but that leaves two of us without a method of crossing. So what's the plan here?"
Dyne knew the moment would come and during the course of the past hour, he had thought about several scenarios. He only believed in one though, and he knew it would be a hard sell to Dylflon and Typhoid.
"Here's the thing... and I will start off by saying I am not 100% sure this will work, but for the two of you.... I thought it would be best....iftyphoidcarrieddylflonacrossthewater." The final sentence shot out of his mouth so quickly it was like one jumbled web.
Dylflon and Typhoid simply stared at him, their ears obviously playing a cruel trick on them. "Could you repeat that once more?" Dylflon asked.
"And this time ssssllllooowwwlllyyyy." Typhoid wanted to make sure he heard it clear and concise this time.
This time Dyne could not hide behind the speed, "I thought it would be best... if Typhoid... carried Dylflon... across the water."
A moment of complete silence passed before the group was filled with laughter. Dylflon and Typhoid could not believe it, Dyne had got them. This was his greatest prank yet.
"Oh man! You had us going! We actually... hahaha" It was difficult for Typhoid to finish his thoughts he was laughing too hard.
"Sorry to tell you folks," then Dyne's expression turned to one of cold steel, "but I am dead serious. It is the only way the three of us are going to get across anytime soon."
"The three of us?" Dylflon's joy now subsided. "I don't know if I'm okay with the plan yet, but that only covers two of us."
"Don't worry about me, I got my own idea!" Dyne spoke his answer with a spark of a child at candy store.

Flunkie observed the damage being left in their wake as they travelled to their destination.
"Do you ever wonder how much harm you cause?" he directed his question towards Magus who was transporting the group on a giant rock slide at the moment.
"Why should I care? If they were so afraid of harm, they wouldn't live near me!" He chuckled at his own comment as he went out of his way to destroy buildings.
Raged passed the time by setting random people on fire and watching as they ran around trying to put themselves out. It was a simple pasttime he admitted, but he enjoyed it.
"So what did everyone think of Mr. Big and Scary?" Flunkie asked no one in particular.
"Right now, it's the only solid lead we have." Aladuf responded.
The Professor who was busy formulating a new plan looked up, "We shall find out in a bit, shant we?"
"Indeed," Geo continued, "And no offense to Magus, but this is a bit too slow for me. I am going to scout ahead and you can all catch up."
Geo manipulated the wind currents around himself this gave him the appearance of flight while in actuality he simply floated on the wind. Either way, it would get him to the destination before the others.
