You might be sympathizing with a typo....
Gekko wanted to buy Portal by itself....
Then Combine 07 goes "
You can buy it by itself,
but why the hell would you want to play Half-Life!?"
So, if I'm following this conversation, either I'm really confused or Combine meant to ask "why
wouldn't you want to play half-life." Plus, I think Combine is a huge Half-Life fan.
Anyway, I just wanted to point that out because I'm confused.
But, carry on.
Oh, and in retrospect I kind of agree. Half-Life > Half-Life 2
