Navi was and is an important character from OOT that offered much needed advice in sticky situations. I didnt find Navi annoying at all.

There is a place for comeback AI, especially when playing Mario Kart with friends. I honestly believe that is why Mario Kart 64 is so universally loved by pretty much everyone, men, women, kids, adults, you name it, they like it. Its still amazingly fun to go back and play a 4 player round of Mario Kart.
