Well you have a point there. I find it more relaxing to play through a story on my couch, with a controller in my hands. I can't imagine playing Golden Eye and Perfect Dark on a PC, but I'm glad that I played Half-Life on it.
I guess the Wiimote with proper programming solves the dilemma.
