I agree, but my point was more aimed at those who wonderd why Halo can add new features that aren't even revolutionary and get media attention for it. Console games in general would just because its a more mainstream platform for games and general than PCs are.
PC ones are definently better and pretty much still years ahead, and its easier to pull such games off on PC.. but... no matter what as long as consoles are more mainstream Halo is gonna be one of the first games to pop to people's minds when they think of FPSs.
One thing to keep in mind to, about the popularity.. is the fact that Halo is more of a social game. Console has four controler slots, and halo isn't THAT amazing of a one player game. So for every copy of halo sold I'm sure it made more fans than the people who bought it... unlike PC games, where its all one-player online fun. If you add pirating into the equation I'm sure you're probably breaking even 1/1 for people who llike the game and people who buy them themselves. (The straglers who don't buy em but like them are probably the same amount as the people who don't buy it and just pirate..)
When I say anti social, I don't mean you can't play it with other people.. Or that you can't drag your PC to a lan party.. I just mean its a LOT less likely that a household with one PC is going to make a ton of fans of a game where your only competition is either online or in a single player mode. People who get anything out of them are the ones who buy it themselves, non buyers can't really get the chance to get itno it.
