GameTavern - View Single Post - What's the most addicting game you have ever played?

Civilization. Civ 1, Civ 2, Civ 3, and now, Civ 4. All of them. So many of my hours were poured into those games. Now that I look back on how much time I have spent on them...... it feels kinda sad.

But that's kinda cheating. That's like naming World of Warcraft. Naming WoW or Civ as an addicting game invokes a "Duh" response.

Recently Paper Mario for GCN sucked me in. But the thing was, I started off by renting the game, thinking I could finish it in one, maybe two rents. Boy was I wrong.

Also recently, Cruis'n USA for N64. Spending time unlocking all of the buses and jeeps and cop cars wasted a lot of my time.

Now I'm off to play Civ 4.
