I have no doubt that he will be replaced by someone, but will that someone be as experienced as Zarqawi and his top aids? Will that someone be as ruthless/sadistic/evil? Will that someone be competant?
These are all unknowns, and lean heavily towards "unlikely". This makes Zarqawi's death a huge victory no matter how you slice it.
A victory, not the final victory. Final victory against these extremists and terror may be decades away, but every nutjob crazy-ass killer dead is good for our side. By our side, I mean the side of GOOD.
