Or it's a game console that shares more similarities to a computer than a wii or ps2. I liked the xbox because it was fairly easy to mod. If the ps3 is so "open source," in like 7 years when blu-ray isn't 40000000 dollars you'll be able to pirate games. Until then, i'm sure you'll be able to run SNES and Genesis stuff on it.
