Firefox and most browsers ask if you want them to be default when you start them up. i'd just remove the links to IE. see how it goes. or... put an IE link on with the ie icon.. but link it to firefox. muhahha.  |
I've tried removing IE6, and it just defaults back to IE 4 or a really old version, I forgot which one.
I couldn't get it off the Windows XP OS. Like you said, because IE has internet settings that other programs use.
