Nintendo fans are the zaniest bunch, about 99% of them stood by the Gamecube during its lifespan, saying that it would come up on top, taking the PS2 and Xbox out of the market. They said it was great. A lot of them now are like, "meh the gamecube was pretty lame bring on the rev!"

It was obviously an empty hope. But Gamecube really was/is a great system, and I think it's sad that there are so many people unwilling to give it a try.
I really do like many of the exclusive titles available for Xbox and PS2, but when this next generation rolls around I'm just going to do what I did this time. Get Nintendo's system for sure, and compliment it with either Sony or Microsofts offering. This time around I got an Xbox; it's possible I'll make the same choice depending on the price tag Sony decides to stick to its monster.
I'm not the only one in this position from what I've seen. And if more people come around to realize that Nintendo is still offering awesome software this is going to become a more and more prominant trend because it will be fueled by the fact that their system will cost half or less than the competition while still offering an enjoyable and original play experience.
