doesnt really matter what the advantage of bluray would be... once it starts taking over... less and less movies will get released on DVD, in favor of bluray instead.

while its true that its main feature would be directed towards HDTV's, one of its features is to put all the things on 1 bluray instead of multiple DVD's (2nd DVD of bonus features).

people are eventually going to need a bluray DVD player, with or without a HDTV.
