Please. I guarantee that when Nintendo does reveal some solid information, nobody is going to be talking about how long they kept a secret. They're going to be talking about the secret ideas themselves and whether they really are that special. I won't say that everybody will like it or even be bowled over by it, but in a few years, nobody is going to care that on August 22, 2005 there still wasn't any solid information about the Revolution. And considering that the thing won't launch until next year, I think that's really all for the best. Microsoft hyped the Xbox 360 to the end of the world, and look at how that's biting them in the ass now.
Of course people are gonna whine about the lack of information, and of course Nintendo fans are going to be extremely excited when Nintendo does finally spill the beans...

The problem is, the longer Nintendo waits to reveal info, the more time people have to speculate and hype up the Revolution.

Everytime any insignificant thing happens with Nintendo or even IGN, people go bat-****ing insane and come up with crazy ideas as to what it means, and usually it amounts to absolutely nothing (the 'surprise' at E3, Matt of IGN posting his desktop, the fire at Camp Hyrule, the list goes on)...

And of course the problem with all these crazy high hopes and secrecy (if they're hiding it and putting this much emphasis on it it must be jaw-droppingly amazing!!!11!1!!!) is that as time goes on, Nintendo has an increasingly smaller chance of actually living up to it and wowing the audience...

Is it going to be something truly revolutionary, or is it going to be something as secret-worthy as FLUDD?
