What you fail to grasp, here, is that, though they are forward thinking, they're still rooted in western thought and philosophy and no matter what you or they say or do, they're going to be viewed by the terrorists in the same light as the truly western nations.

I think you're definition of western thought and philosohy is pretty myopic. Democracy and human rights aren't strictly Western values, and they have been adopted by many other Eastern nations without inspiring such blood lust.
And even if they are steeped in Western philosophy, does that excuse the terrorist act, or separate the fact that muslim terrorists are as apt to attack modern muslim nations as they are modern christian nations? No, it doesn't.
What shocks me most is the seeming slack that you give these terrorists because the nations they attacked are viewed as being "Westernized" in your eyes. And before you accuse me of putting words in your mouth, re-read your first response to my comments.

Oh horsecrap. They blew up a western resort. Most of the casualties were British and Dutch, the Arab casualties were mostly Kuwaiti and Quatrain which is basically saying they were westerners as Kuwaitis and Quatrains are Arab-Lite. They spend, act and behave like westerners because they have the resources to do so. This was a statement to middle eastern nations that have supported Western causes. Saudi Arabia will probably be next.

You would almost think from reading that passage that the attack was acceptable because the muslim nation in question are "Arab-lite".
