Nintendo won't make you have 4 consoles for multiplayer.
They've been mocking Sony since the PS2 launch for not having 4 controller ports, and they're not going to change that. One of their biggest markets is the 4 player party game. They have so many great franchises for it.
You will be able to have one console with 4 controllers. Believe it.
