I actually do feel that in most cases, the outcome will be dependant on time and place!

Let me use this example:

In one case, you left the house later than schedule to met someone. You go by walk, and when you cross the road, you get run over by a maniac!

Now I feel if the person had left on time, he would NOT have been run over, simple because the 'maniac' in the car would be 10 minutes behind where he would be at the moment. Now, this might not stop another incident from occuring, such as another person running this man over, but you would know that it would be a totally new siuation.

So yes, time and location depend the outcome of 'most' cases!
