Effective idea, but hardly original. Same thing was done in one of the Scream movies. Everyone was wearing the mask in a movie theater and one guy had a knife and killed a couple. One in the bathroom and another right during the film. No one noticed until she got up by the screen all bloddy. So then everybody was running away, including the killer completley undectable.
