Default Donkey Konga 2

The Gamecube forum would be dead if it weren't for Zelda.

So I just picked this up with two sets of bongos. The EB guy suckered me into it; the deal was: get the Konga 2 pack, and get an extra set for free. So I said, what the hell, I'll pay $15 extra for two more bongos. I have 3 bongos now.

Anyways, the game is great. It improves on Donkey Konga 1 in a lot of ways. The only song I really like in the set list, initially, is La Bamba. I really like how the sound sets from Konga 1 are transferred over to Konga 2 if you keep them on the same memory card.

The music list is more.. poppy/rocky and I'm indifferent to it for the most part, but there are some good songs. I just don't think a lot fit with the bongos, of all instruments. But hey, at least they got rid of Diddy's Ditties and Campfire Medley. Those were downright godawful.

The addition of Dixie is nice and it's good to see the rest of the Kongs have been included. The background changes are good but I kind of miss the jungle-feeling. I can't wait to try the Band mode with some other people.
