OH NO! Nintendo is using one of Sony's ideas! Can the world not function any more? Will Sony lovers not let us get through this occurance without us seeing how embarrassing it is that Nintendo didn't think of it first?!
I find it hilarious that people keep talking about Nintendo stealing this Sony innovation. First of all, no previous Nintendo system was designed so that this could work (other than NES), and it's not a huge innovation when compared to other things in the gaming industry.
And if the ideas are good, they might be stolen. There is a good chance. Dual Shock took two Nintendo ideas and put it into their controller, and had Nintendo shown analog early maybe it would have been standard in PSX. Nintendo liked the idea of another stick that Sony had, and implemented it into their system as well. People will always copy ideas, but if you can make it unique to your system for a year or so, and make it so the other system doesn't get it standard... that's a huge bonus.
