No, to the word I put zero stock in IGNs scores. If Gamespot gives a game a 7 or Gamespy a 3.5 (gamespy is out of 5) and IGN gives the same game a 10, I'm not going to think of it as anything better than a 7 (or a 3.5.) The game looks interesting to me because I've read good stuff about it elsewhere. If IGN had given it a 3.8 I'd be looking on gamerankings to see what the other sites have given it. IGNs score will NEVER have any influence on whether or not I purchase a game.
IGN has absolutely shafted so many great games, and they've overrated so many terribly mediocre games. They have zero credibility in judging a game's worth.
