and I suggest you clean your PS2, Vamp. find a website offering a tutorial on cleaning the system and do it at home. what kyuzo said, changing that little gear to make the lens closer to the disc, that can work too. First, I would try contacting Sony like Joeiss did. |
Working in Gamestop and seeing the returns that I see I wouldn't be surprised if 1/4 of those numbers are replacement unit sales. There's no denying the fact that the PS2 is the shoddiest piece of video game hardware this generation (second goes to Pelican accessories) when you see the shear number of PS2's that are returned.
For every 100 PS2's I get back in for being defective I get maybe 20 Xbox's and 5 Gamecubes. That's not a fanyboy's opinion or rant. It's simply my experience working in a game retailing environment.
On a positive note, I've only seen one PS2 - Two come back in since it was sold.
