But younger people are most prone to falling into the mistake of thinking they are in love when they aren't. Teenagers especially confuse lust and infatuation with love and end up stepping into something too fast more often because they are inexperienced in love and have not felt it before so they do not know what to expect.
That is why you so often hear teens saying they're in love with so-and-so and then a week later, they have broken up. It wasn't love, because love doesn't just go away. It is something more lasting.
Even if teens did find true love, like Vampyr said, they are not able to truely appreciate it.
