Thats a good question, and i wondered the same thing after reading it. my hope tho is that they are NOT going to try and do the same thing as the DS where it has a wifi reciever and repeater hub in it and try to create its own network by one console connecting to the other over wifi.
but it does scare me a bit reading both that, and where they mention that the online plan will be simular to DS.
