Why would there being no fall damage be something to get pissed at? Its a minor annoyance, if you actually care about such a little thing.
Melee - Its more important than even and I use it much more in Halo 2 than I ever did in Halo. They gave you a badass sword that cut guys down in one or two hits. You think Melee was useless?
I still love grenades and they work great for me. In fact, I rarely dual weild because I can't use grenades when I do. As for the shields, its called making the game more difficult, and was a part of addrewssing the complaint that Halo was too easy.
I read your complaints and I honestly wonder if you playing the same game that I am.
And so no one starts screaming "YOUREW A HALO FANBOIY AND YYOU'L; SAY ANYTHING TO DEFENCD HALO UNTIL YOU DIE!1!11!" here are my complaints about Halo 2.
Dual Weilding - It seemed pretty unimportant. I preferred to single weild with grenades and the dual weilding seemed pretty worthless except in close combat.
Melee - I thought it was too emphasized in Halo 2. I walways found myself in close combat, especially when those gorilla look bastards were around.
Level Design - The stage on the Covenant homeworld was the exact same level repeated about 10 times. Thats unacceptable.
The Ending - If a sequel doesn't pop out on the Xbox within the year, I'll feel completely let down. In fact, it came out of nowhere and happened so unexpectedly that I predicted that Halo 2.5 or 3 is already complete.
Length of Game - Far too short and the ending made it seem shorter than it was. Another reason why I think the next Halo is already done or at the very least Bungie has already spent a long time working on it. Once again, if not, I'll feel completely let down.
New Vehicles in Single Player - It seemed like they were made for multi-player and then just added the the single player game. Not enough time with them or missions using them.
Design Repetitiveness - I would have liked to see something more original in the Covenant vehicle designs. The new ones just seemed like tweaked versions of the Human ones (especially the Covenant jeep-like thing with the gun on top).
