I don't think mindless kissing will help you with your emotions. It will probably mess them up even more.
Kissing does something with you... don't kiss anybody, only 1 you really love...
And I think it's pretty sad to be jealous of someone being made fun of. Of course, you'd enjoy it for a couple of seconds, but not much longer. After that you'll be all alone again.
Like you said, go for the long-term thing.
