the GC controller was a poor design, nintendo has a problem designing a controller around a couple games that they're currently working on. then for other games the controller sucks for. like nintendo never even considered thoes types of games.

the PS2 controller hasnt changed for more reasons then just the backwards compatability, it hasnt changed because theres no reason to change everything. its setup works for every game type. and is the most copied design of any controller. other controllers added the duel analogs, and pc controllers are built as almost an exact double of the PS2 controller.
