Re: Star Wars Episode III Trailer
You know, I thought Hayden Christiansen looked a bit like Frodo when he's given in to the influence of the One Ring.
And I see Natalie Portman is sporting hair donuts.
It looks like it could be fun, but Lucas had better get straight to the point and show us Darth Vader really quickly. The appearance of his suit will be pretty much the one and only reason anybody sees the movie, kind of like Yoda's lightsaber fight in Episode II. As much as I like character driven stories, I have come to the concclusion that George Lucas has no ability to do character development whatsoever. His mistake in the previous movies was that he tried.
I also think it's interesting to note that Star Wars still seems to be a mostly viable franchise. Oh sure, it's tarnished a little. But think of the reaction you would have gotten if somebody announced further sequels to The Matrix. Now that was a series that flamed out big time.
