Although car accidents are well... Accidents (although sometimes preventable), and terrorist attacks are deliberate acts aimed at killing innocent people... I agree with you 100%, terrorism is still way overblown, we're spending way too much money on
trying (keyword) to prevent it, and what happens in the process of trying to prevent a few dozen... Hundred.... Thousand (September 11th was an exception, most terrorist attacks don't kill in the thousands) people from dying over the course of.... What? 10 years? We lose a few thousand troops in under 2 (that's if you even count Iraq as part of the war on terror)... Kill a number of terrorists, but occasionally innocent people... While spending boatloads of money which really we didn't have to spend in the first place...
