Fairenhype 9/11
I just saw this rebuttal documentary to Moore's film of the same name, and I have to say that it was a very good counterpoint.
The parts of the film that surprised me the most weren't the parets that dismantled the fallacies and deceits in Moore's movies, as I already knew most of them, but instead were the sections regarding the UN Oil for Food program and information on the Patriot Act.
The most damning evidence about the Oil for Food program comes from a very good and bipartisan source: Dick Morris, President Clinton's right hand man. The amount of money that exchanged hands is staggering. France was given two oil fields to drill on after they supported the dissollution of the UN sanctions on Iraq. In Russia every major political party, including Putin's party, were given money by Saddam's Iraq. All told 68 Billion dollars exchanged hands and 10 Billion of that was handed out in bribes.
Also, the part on the Patriot Act and how it prevented the bombing of the Brooklyn Bridge was enlightening to say the least. I won't ruin it for you as the movie does a better job of explaining it than I ever could.
I know a lot of people here are going to immediately dismiss this film, but I have to say that if you saw Moore's film, see this one, and then make your own decisions.
