As a FFXI player, I would say Amir...err, DarkMaster could most likely be able to handle the "time consumption" of this game. I played Morrowind for the months that I was waiting for FFXI, not nearly as bad.
Strangler is right though, it is role play. You have to decide what type of character you are and how you would react in certain situations, and stick to it. My character was a Treasure Hunter and assasin. But I think the main reason I went that route is because there is very little responceabilty in that role.
(-EDIT- Any given day I'd steal from or attack random victims... as long as I didn't get caught it worked for me. I ended up robbing the three biggest and heavily guarded "banks" on the game... I was so proud of myself.

[of course, I failed robbing them ton of times, but I'd just reload then])
Because a good guy and making a honest living is tough.
