"Wow, lady... I sincerely hope you realize that someday your son is going to look back and remember the time you decided to shut down his favorite website because you're too boring to understand humor. He'll probably be 16 or 17 then, and the experience of finding out that his own mother is a joyless McCarthyist (if you don't know what that word means, ask someone who reads) will cause him to rebel and lash out against any and all authority figures with a level of severity that a simple comedy website could never inspire. Then maybe as you're dropping him off outside the methadone clinic for the fifth time in a month you'll have some kind of epiphany (again, look it up) and realize that your boundless conservatism has resulted in yet another in a seemingly endless succession of spirit-crushing disappointments for you. Or maybe you could just quit now, have a laugh, and go back to whatever mind-numbingly boring activities you used to engage in before you decided the internet needed to be saved."
