[Vampyr]

I went to my comics store today and something awesome happened.

I walked into the store which was vacant, no one in it except for the guy working there, who was sitting at a table in the middle of the store going through his Magic cards. He wasnt your avarage magic player either...He looked like a jock. He asked me if he could help me with anything, and I was like "I'm interested in getting back into comics. I used to buy them all the time as a kid."

It turns out that a week ago he had just gotten back into comics, so he knew all about the comic series that were just starting out, and he introduced me to a few he was getting into. We talked for about an hour while I was in there, about comics and cards and such. I bought the comic novel "Batman: The Dark Night Returns" for 15 bucks. This is the novel in which batman beats superman. I also bought the first issue of "Batman: War Games", because it was only 12 cents.

The guy and I became friends very quickly, and we talked about other things like school and working on projects in photoshop. Customers at the store have an option of paying 5 bucks a month, and they can "subscribe" to a comic series. Which means any comic they buy from that series they get a free wrapper and backboard, and arent charged tax on it. The guy is now letting me use his "folder" at the store that he keeps all the comics he's interested in. So now I get all the benefits, but dont pay a fee. I subscribed to "Uncanny Xmen" but am considering changing it to just plain "X Men". I'm going to subscribe to a couple others too, but havnt decided what yet.

Overall, a good ending to an already good day.

And GM, I saw that series you posted, and will probably get the first book next time I go.
