If you want to go out, go for RedOctane pads or other metal pads. You'll spend over a hundred for each of them, at least. But apparently they're good. I myself find the Madcatz fine.

Don't trust the knock-off brands if you want soft-pads (Buy and Shop, etc). If you're getting arcade-pads, they're great, but for soft-pads nothing measures up to the Ignition.
