TV (and any media in general) is always biased. Many people will read an
opinion in a paper or on tv and take it as a fact.
Usually, for the basic news, I'll get it from CNN (non-Canadian news anyway). For Canadian news, I'll get it from CBC. However, I never take any news reporters opinion or whatever they're trying to tell you as fact, just the actual event.
