I am honestly disgusted. Disgusted by your people's conduct. This is pure and utter crap. Before I even get started I would like to say that you should be ashamed of yourselves.

This teaming up isn't cool. I have not seen anywhere in this thread where Typhoid has belittled any of you for having opinions. He at least respects the fact that you think this was some terrible cruel joke. He didn't say, "I think you're wrong" or "that's stupid because..." . He merely stated what he thought could be a possibilty. Now go ahead and disagree with him. Differences of opinions are prefectly fine. But attacking him for thinking something is wrong.

You guys don't need to set out on a crusade when people think differently. It's a closed minded way of thinking. Even if I didn't agree with anything you had to say, I'd at least think about it and respect that you think something rather than attack you with words over it.

Generally Typhoid will read your post and then post what he thinks. Generally you will read Typhoid's post and then try and tell him why he's wrong/dumb.

First off, what the hell? Why should anyone be acting this way? Why can't you jsut freaking agree to disagree and let it be at that? Why do you have to "rip him apart".

Secondly, you're a moderator. Being an authority here, it's your job to set an example for other people who post at this website. Maliciously attacking people's opinion isn't something that I would hope otehrs to emulate.

You know, I like all you guys. I think you're generally good people. But why do you have to tell Typhoid to stop talking? Sure, he may not present his argument in the best way possible, but at least he does have valid opinions. I don't know if any of you think you're better than Typhoid (do you?) but his opinions are in actual fact just as valid as yours. This whole ganging up playground mentality isn't good. This is like mini oppression or something. And oppression isn't something that should be endorsed here.

As far as I can see, you're both speculating. Strangler, you have to admit that you don't know for sure the motives behind the toy. But you're taking the speculating past the hypothesis phase and claiming your view as a fact. Perhaps you could have said something like "I don't think this is a coincidence". This would be better for two reasons.

1. You don't know for certain that it's a fact so the suggested phrase is more accurate to the situation.

2. What you said isn't technically a fact.

Why would you think about it? You're Canadian. You didn't lose anyone. You didn't wake up to two icons of your country crumble in a firey hell, watching people who could have easily been you run for their lives. You didn't go to any funerals or held anyone while they cried and simply asked "why?" Of course you wouldn't have thought about it. Its very easy to not think about it when you live on the outside looking in.

And once again, you're Canadian, so maybe you should just shut up about the whole thing anyway as you just might be deeply offending people right now with some really ignorant comments.

This makes perfect sense. Except for the fact that Typhoid lost someone he knew in the attack. So considering he actually ahs more of a connection to the attack than you do, doesn't that make his opinion as or more valid than yours? Oh wait, I forgot. He's Canadian. So maybe his opinion doesn't matter. Seriously Strangler, stop telling people to shut up or stop talking or to back down. Because maybe, just maybe, they're opinion means as much as yours. I don't want to speak for him but I think he'd feel the same way. He was affected by it but doesn't seem to like dwelling on the past. Aside from possibly being more paranoid, I don't think he'd feel much differently. I feel exactly the same way.

Alright. I read this. Then reread it. And I sat and thought about it for a couple minutes. This is probably one of the most offensive/abusive posts you've ever made. You attack at Typhoid for voicing what he thinks but nobody attacks you for this? This post is the sack of bull****. How do you get away with this? I am in awe. Granted, you can't be certain he lost someone, but guess what. He did. This has developed beyond childish. I think a thread concerning 9/11 is the only place for him to reveal this information. I am sick and tired of people attacking others for their opinions. Why should anyone have to have that happen to them? Are we not to say waht we think because you think it's wrong? Well that's a bunch of crap. I don't see people calling you stupid or telling you to shut up or telling you even that you're wrong. Everyone else has the common freaking decency to at least accept your opinion. Perhaps you could show the same compassion. I'm not telling you to agree with other's opinions.
