Are they the same as Christian Scientists, does anybody know?
Any way, the most controversial part of this whole deal is the "doctors are evil" part. I knew Scientologists shun the conventional medicine, but I wasn't curious enough to figure out why they did so. Supposedly a hundred people have died because care was denied to them, and sometimes they died in excruciating pain or had extreme jaundice (I saw a picture of one of the people, and let me tell you, people with yellow skin aren't pretty). It's led Colorado (and a few other states) to pass a law allowing prosecution of parents who deny care to critically ill children.
It's funny because I've read some of Hubbard's stuff, and it sounds sensible. I guess the website I was visiting neglected to mention the aliens nuking everything with H-bombs.
