Well I'm not a republican, I'm independent. I have many of the same reservations about the republican party that many democrats do, namely the religious right and corporate cow-towing. I don't think corporations are evil, but I do think that Bush is throwing way too much influence to them especially on the issue of the environment.

Plus, have you seen the new spending plan? GOOD LORD!! And this is from a administration that has a supposed stand on fiscal responsibility. Special interests strike again.

Now republicans aren't the only ones with special interests as the democrats have a bunch of their own too. You think Dean got all that money from private donations? Hell no.

This is why I love McCain, but I know he will never get elected. He supports the military, is truly fiscally responsible (see him on The Daily Show? He was great.) and he gives the impression that his ethics mean more to him than campaign dollars. He even supported a bill to reform campaign donations, which was not surprisingly shot down by his fellow congressmen.

I even voted democratic for my state gubernatorial election, voting for Rendell, even though now I wish I didn't as he seems to raise taxes with the same regularity that he takes a dump.

But I am a conservative, because while I don't trust the republican party fully, I trust them far more than I do the democratic party which seems to move farther left with each passing day.

Well enough of my rambling...
